Broadsound Coastal Community Development Association inc., is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance social or public welfare to older persons who are frail aged, younger persons who have physical limitations, disabilities, require medical monitoring, dementia or mental health disabilities and those at risk of premature or inappropriate entry into longterm residential care by: (a) providing in home and community aged care and disability support programs, in a rural and remote area (b) providing access to health and medical care and/or referring persons to other medical practitioners when necessary. (c) providing access to community events/activities and arranging opportunities to interact with people and have the same life experiences as other people. Encourage social interaction and participation, reduce social isolation and promote their physical and mental health (d) providing respite care to people with a physical or mental disability who generally are cared for continuously by a family member or unpaid carer (e) to provide benevolent relief to people in need to relieve poverty and distress (such as sickness, disability, destitution, suffering, misfortune or helplessness).
