Brisbane Buddhist Vihara (Temple) Inc.

(1) To promote mutual cooperation, tolerance and social fellowship among various nationalities, religious beliefs and ethnic groups; (2) To spread and disseminate the Buddhist philosophy of life for promotion of peace and tranquillity amongst various nations; (3) To establish and maintain a Theravada Buddhist Monastery or Hermitage as an abode of resident and visiting Buddhist monks; and as a facility for visitors from any religious or ethnic background to study and practice the Buddhist teachings, and to receive spiritual guidance from the Resident Monks. ( 4 ) To establish a library of Buddhist literature to enable people to study the life and philosophy of the Buddha;
