Brightwater operates the following programs which, as a whole, are directed towards Brightwater's purpose: Residential Aged Care: Brightwater operates ten residential aged care homes (including transitional care) that provide specialist support and daytoday care for the elderly who have complex needs. Disability Services: Brightwater supports adults with acquired or progressive neurological disabilities, including brain injuries, Huntington's disease and early onset dementia. Services include supported independent living, therapies, behavioural support and nursing support. At Home Services: Brightwater provides athome services to enable people to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while receiving the care and support that they need to live as independently as possible. Brightwater assists people with transport, meals, respite care, nursing, allied health support, and home help (eg home cleaning and gardening). Retirement living: Brightwater provides closeknit retirement community for elderly Australians which supports residents to live independently for longer, providing access to a secure community with many additional amenities and services. Research: Brightwater funds internal and external research and collaborates with other providers to undertake research specifically targeted to address Brightwater's specific and specialist needs as an organisation. Catering services: Brightwater operates an inhouse catering function to support its Aged Care and Disability Services operations. Linen services: Brightwater operates an inhouse linen function and provides external linen services with profits directed to growing Brightwater's benevolent activities.
