At the Brien Holden Vision Institute Foundation, we are dedicated to building sustainable and locallydriven eye care systems. By collaborating with national health systems, we enhance existing infrastructures to deliver quality eye care. Our partnerships emphasize community control, ensuring that local needs are met effectively. Our strategic combination of eye care programs aims to alleviate poverty and suffering. Education is a cornerstone of our approach. We offer a variety of courses to develop skills from the community level to professional development. Our efforts have supported 14 emerging optometry schools and trained nearly 250,000 eye care personnel worldwide. Our work, both domestically and internationally, is rooted in transparent dialogue with local communities, aiming to empower and strengthen local capacities sustainably. We believe that lasting change in the eye health sector is achieved through collaborative support and longterm relationships with partners and communities.
