About Branches Lifestyle Support Pty Ltd

Branches Lifestyle Support is primarily a Supported Independent Living service, funded under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), catering to adults with an intellectual disability, and/or physical disability. We are a very small service, and this is by design to allow us to offer a more intense, flexible and individualised support to the small number of people who use our service. We believe that people regardless of the impact of any disability they may have, have the absolute right to lead a rewarding, fulfilling life, with all the benefits enjoyed by those people who do not have a disability. As ever, our primary focus in 2024 was to continue to provide quality and meaningful SIL and Community Access support to people who want the independence to live in their own homes, or in shared support arrangements. The support we give is based around doing whatever an individual needs done to help them independently move through their daily life. We understand that each individual is unique, and therefore the support plan for them is tailored entirely to meet their individual needs, wants and life goals. Proudly, we have become a small and supportive community for one another, where despite living in different homes in different suburbs, all of our people know one another. We currently provide 24/7 SIL and Community Access support across 7 households, each occupied by 13 people with complex disabilities. Branches also provides less intensive inhome support to 1 individual who live ins accommodation not provided by us. Branches also offers community access, in which we like to produce inventive solutions to help people get to do the things they want to do in life, both recreationally and vocationally. We do this by creating tailored programs and opportunities to suit their skills set, that they might not be able to be access through the mainstream community. We also establish strong connections and involvement for them in their community, helping them utilise all the usual everyday services and recreational opportunities available to everyone in life, plus ensure that they are valued members of society. Our focus on community involvement and inclusion this year has seen us open our doors wider and broaden our scope by connecting with a longterm support network Darling Point Special School. Our aim was to provide opportunities for what post school may look like for students graduating from Year 13, which has seen some students join our programs in our Community HUB. We also strive to build good relationships with other community services, and generally promote the rights of people with disabilities, striving to present a positive imagine to the general public and raising awareness around what people with disabilities are truly capable of, and how they deserve to be treated. Impacting and engraining ourselves and our people into our local community is something that is extremely meaningful to our service, the future is bright.
