Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-Operative LTD

Boomalli is dedicated to supporting and promoting artists from NSW Aboriginal language groups. Boomalli provides a safe space for our artists to grow, collaborate and share their stories, while maintaining cultural sovereignty over their work. We do this through providing a platform for showcasing our artists' work and stories, and through mentorship and professional development. We are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our artists by fostering deep connections to culture and history. We aspire to cultivate a thriving artistic future, preserving ancestral traditions and knowledge, and amplifying Aboriginal voices to inspire future generations. Activities that were undertaken in 2024 to achieve these aims include: Presenting in house exhibitions at Boomalli's Flood St gallery Presenting external exhibitions at venues across Sydney Hosting mentoring and community workshops which include will making, professional development and upskilling. Facilitating acquisitions of NSW Aboriginal artists' work in major collections Facilitating commission projects and providing support to artists around copyright, ICIP, moral rights and licensing, as well as managing projects on behalf of NSW Aboriginal Artists Providing platforms for our artists to sell their art and products in our gallery, our retail shop and online Mentoring emerging artists and arts workers
