About Bodhi Dhamma Buddhist Association (Bendigo) Incorporated
The Association continued to support regular religious and community activities throughout the year. While largescale fundraising events were limited due to broader economic and social factors, the Association successfully conducted monthly mindfulness and Dhamma sessions via Zoom, livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, to engage both Buddhist and nonBuddhist communities. Significant progress was made in the development of the new temple premises at the Great Stupa site in Bendigo. Portions of Stage 4 with 80% of temple work in Fy2024 with grand opening of the Temple. This temple will serve as a spiritual and cultural hub, fostering mindfulness and wellbeing across all age groups and backgrounds. The temple will also feature traditional stone carvings and sculptures reflecting 2,500 years of Buddhist cultural heritage. These intricate works have already been constructed in Sri Lanka and are scheduled for delivery to Australia in the coming months. Preparations for Stage 5, which involves finalising all the tidy up and finishing work over next few years based on funding and are aimed to be completed in FY2026.
