Bobby Goldsmith Foundation

Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (BGF) is Australia's oldest community based HIV organisation providing client services and support programs in NSW and SA. Established in 1984, we provide psychosocial, practical and targeted financial support to people living with HIV. From diagnosis onwards, BGF provides a range of targeted programs and services for all people living with HIV in NSW and South Australia. We work with individuals to limit the impact of social isolation and exclusion, economic poverty, and stigma and discrimination that is detrimental to physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. In particular, we support individuals that are managing multiple personal & life stressors, as well as chronic illness to improve quality of life and increase resilience. We are adaptive to the changing needs of the people we support, to ensure our services remain relevant and accessible to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or cultural and linguistic background. To ensure that we continue to be an effective and sustainable organisation, we have a diverse range of funding streams including grants from the NSW Ministry of Health, corporate partnerships, Trusts & Foundations, fundraising appeals, donations from regular and major donors, regular annual fundraising events.
