We worked with the community to rescue abandoned and unowned cats and kittens. The cats were then desexed etc. rehabbed and homes found for a large number of them. We also worked with a resident in the lower mountains to trap over 20 cats and kittens from the area. This brought about a fall in the number of unowned and abandoned animals and a reduction in their distress and suffering. The environment also benefited from our work.
