Barossa Region Community Foundation Trust

Our mission is to enable community philanthropy for the economic, social and cultural prosperity of the Barossa community We launched an Appeal in 2020 to support youth homelessness in the region. The funds raised are to be used in conjunction with Kids Under Cover to fund youth homeless prevention studios in the region, with first studio launched in the Barossa in August 2022. In FY 23 we funded the nexr 3 studios for the Barossa region. We continued our partnership with FRRR to provide Back to School vouchers for disadvantaged children in the region to provide basic school essentials. This ties to our values around dignity through disadvantage and ensuring noone is left behind. We run a subfund for Barossa Australia to provide Mental Health First Aid training to the wine industry and member of the tourism industry in the region. Our 2023 Christmas Appeal was to raise funds for the Brighter Beginnings Appeal, to raise funds for Back to School vouchers. Funds were also contributed to the Appeal from our annual Corkage for a Cause fundraiser where local bars, cellar doors, and restaurants contribute funds.
