Barossa Region Community Foundation Incorporated

The Barossa Region Community Foundation Inc. (Foundation Barossa) was incorporated in 2002 as a notforprofit organisation established to inform and engage the broader community in the benefits of community philanthropy. Foundation Barossa now operates as the sole community fund in this region of South Australia, and has grown by encouraging local families and businesses to donate to support local community projects. Many of these projects are innovative and unique to this region for which there is currently no other available funding source. To ensure the perpetuity of scholarships and grants, Foundation Barossa endeavors to use only the income earned from the capital to fund grant projects although we also run a few critical passthrough projects. Foundation Barossa aims to continue to support the 32,500 people in the Barossa & Light area by building the corpus, increasing grantmaking and ensuring the diligent and transparent management of community funds
