In summary, in 202324 Barefoot Initiative supported Waklisa Charity through continued partnership and mentoring, to achieve the following: Continued procurement and production of water carts. Delivering 299 water carts in 20232024. The charitys target of providing 1186 households with water carts has been acheived. Procurement and delivery of water filters to 683 housholds. The charity's target to provide water filters to 1186 households was achived. Contiued coaching at household level on operation and maintenance of the water filters to households who have received a water filter. Ongoing support for 9 scholarship students Over the duration of the scholarship project, we have now enabled Waklisa to support a total of 23 students, 15 graduated and 9 are currently studying in the fields of nursing and accountancy. The 3 graduates this year graduated with degrees in pharmacy. A new project was codesigned and funding secured for Waklisa to Implement a 3 year year project to support in the elimination of hepatitis in 3 kableles. The charity continues to support and mentor the Waklisa charity in it's work on the ground to acheive the goals and objectives of Barefoot Initiative.
