Australian Wildlife Conservancy

The principal activities of the Company during the course of the financial year were directed toward the conservation of Australia s wildlife, particularly threatened species and ecosystems. These activities included: the establishment of wildlife sanctuaries including through the acquisition of land and the development of partnerships with other landholders; the implementation of onground conservation programs including translocations of threatened wildlife, feral animal control, weed control and fire management; the conduct of scientific research addressing the key threats to Australia s wildlife; and the carrying out of public education and visitor programs designed to enhance awareness of conservation issues.
