About Australian Tea Cultural Seminar Ltd
The Australian Tea Cultural Society (AUSTCS) is a notforprofit and charitable organisation, run by members for its members. The aims of the organisation are to build awareness around tea, it's pleasures, benefits and culture. AUSTCS is a body that brings together the Australian tea community and through the annual seminar provides a platform for comprehensive discussion, collaboration and innovation for the promotion of tea and tisane in Australia. In 2023/24 AUSTCS provided national and local community connection and events, which aimed to achieve the mission and aims of the organisation. Nationally AUSTCS presented a TriCity set of events in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Each event presented educational, cultural, health & wellbeing and community connection. Locally AUSTCS supported members present smaller community events to achieve the mission and aims of the organisation. This support was given in various ways attendance by directors and specialist members at individual events. Promotion and marketing of local events, with followup articles in the AUSTCS newsletter or social media posting. Examples being a Japanese tea and a tea essentials event both presented in regional NSW, three members assisted Choice Magazine on tea, one member assisted Export Australia as a guest speaker at a Vietnamese organic farmer/producer event, and at the Temora Multicultural Embrace Event AUSTCS gave free tea tastings of Indian masala chai to attendees. AUSTCS once again promoted and encouraged Australian's to get involved in UN International Tea Day.
