Australian Talented Youth Project

We have engaged over 50 professional artists and business people, supported over 250 performers, 350 community workshop participants and connected with 16 businesses. To top it all off we have also been seen by over 3500 audience members. Our work has been shared all over Australia and Internationally through our I Dance Film Festival and our own dance films. We were thrilled to represent dance and disability in the inaugural Uncharted Festival celebrating innovation and technology and to run our Pleiades program facilitating cross mentoring for 21 women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Our Sirius program reflecting the brightest star in the sky, enabled capacity building for our organisation and team to undertake training in LGBTQIA+ and Disability awareness and to invite internationally renowned LGBTQIA+ and Disability leaders to speak with the ACT community. We launched Stellar Step UP! supporting 7 new dance and exercise classes for people across the ACT of CaLD, First Nations and disability backgrounds. We also launched the BOLD Mingle program working with migrant elders to offer dance and exercise classes. These have become the highlight of the week for many of us and have also enabled us to directly connect with many of the brilliant classical India dancers in the ACT. Our BOLD Access program offered access and inclusion for the BOLD Festival will support of Events ACT and we become the only organisation in the ACT offering access options for Festivals. Outside of the ACT we continued our Gemini program in partnership with Singapore s Diverse Abilities Dance Collective and dived into Virtual View, an international dance exchange that explores the potential of Extended Reality (XR) in the interplay between body, identity and crosscultural exchange. Our annual performance offering A Stellar Lineup grew to encompass more groups and over 120 performers with Auslan, captioning and Audio Description. This is a huge achievement for a small organisation.
