A charity organisation having the direct mission of advancing health in Australia. We are sponsoring research in the field of stroke diagnosis, care and treatment that will bring timecritical stroke treatment directly to the patient. This is being accomplished by designing and testing new brain imaging technologies suitable for road and air ambulance, in order to bring Australiandesigned lifesaving brain scanning equipment to patients. The resulting opportunity for expedited diagnosis and treatment will transform the patient's chances of survival and recovery. This early prehospital stroke care can dramatically improve stroke outcomes and will be available in Indigenous, rural and remote areas, as well as metropolitan centres.
