About Australian Sports Foundation Charitable Fund
The Australian Sports Foundation Charitable Fund s (ASFCF) primary purpose is to support the development of sport in Australia for charitable purposes. This includes providing money, property or benefits to improve the physical and mental health and fitness of the general population for the public benefit; and furthering the improvement or maintenance of public amateur sporting facilities to attract more widespread usage and participation that is beneficial to the health and fitness of relevant individual and to the community as a whole. Throughout the 2024 financial year ASFCF has provided charitable grants consistent with abovementioned aims, some of which include: Grant to support rebuilding community sport facilities after flood damages; Grants to cricket programs for Indigenous students as a vehicle to develop leadership, personal development, goal setting, resilience, public speaking, nutrition education and mental health; Grants to promotion of inclusion and participation of disadvantaged groups in sport; Grants to assist in upgrade of community sports facilities to meet the needs of participants with a disability; Grants to run sports participation programs to help address mental health issues and suicide prevention for sports people; and Grants to to assist in construction of a community sports facilities in Sydney; Grants to promote religious education and culture.
