Australian Islamic Cultural Centre Limited

Most of the activities of Australian Islamic Cultural Centre (AICC) are being undertaken by volunteers. The major activity of AICC is to provide primary and secondary school educational facilities. It also provides Community Centre for men, women, children and youth for cultural development and provide facilities for regular prayers and meetings. The Australian Islamic Cultural Centre s activities involve making provisions for Islamic Centre for its members, conducting religious services, community services and running classes for children and adults on Islamic and Arabic Studies and Languages. The Cultural Centre also provides facilities for two major Eid gatherings and celebration in its Centre. The Centre also provides facilities for migrant community to meet and discuss in order to assimilate into Australian way of life and multicultural society. The Centre also provided counselling, support and other services due to familyrelated issues. The Australian Islamic Cultural Centre has four centers in NSW through which it is able to provide the above services to broader communities at large. The Cultural Centre also provides full funeral and burial services and help families during the bereavement. The mission of AICC is to empower and enable the Muslims from all backgrounds to reach their true and full potential and hence play an active and positive role in building stable, cohesive, and successful communities at a spiritual, social, economic and cultural level. The Australian Islamic Cultural Centre Limited is a registered charity for the advancement of Islamic faithbased education in Australia, the Islamic religion and culture for the welfare of all Australians. EidULFitr and EidULAdha have been celebrated at a grand scale at Omar Mosque in Auburn. Federal and Local Government Ministers, Cumberland City Councillors, area Command from Auburn Police Station, School Principals from local schools and members of the local communities participated in the celebration. Fun activities such as pony and camel rides, animal show and giant slides were set up together with food stalls for members of the public to enjoy. Harrow Road from Beatrice Road round about to Helena Road roundabout were closed to traffic from 4.00am to 12.00am. The Cumberland City Council is being acknowledged for their support and approval for these events.
