The 2024 creative program featured fourteen headline exhibitions at the Centre in Sydney, up from eleven in 2023. These included: International Art Textile Biennale (a partnership with Fibre Arts Australia); TILED (a collaboration with kil.n.it); The Art of Making (a collaboration with Studio Woodworkers Australia); Light from Nature (a partnership with Korean Cultural Centre Australia and Coreana Cosmetics Museum); A New Earth; Treasures; Laced; Vessels: Transcending Tradition (a collaboration with the National Indigenous Art Fair); Current; FUSE Glass Prize 2024; OUT OF DATE; RemadeReloved 2024; re/JOY; and Crafted Liberation. There were also several exhibitions presented in the window gallery and the production of the seventh annual Sydney Craft Week Festival in October 2024. A series of events and public programs were presented alongside the exhibition programs. There were 62 events in 2024, up from 57 in 2023. ADC collaborated with Carriageworks and Sydney Ceramics Market during Sydney Craft Week Festival to produce a ceramics market supporting 90 makers and attracting 5,000 attendees. The markets gave local artists and designers a unique opportunity to sell their work directly to attendees elevated by these festival programs. Audience attendance was 328,262, just under the audience attendance of 334,314 in 2023. A total of 1,000 artists were supported through the Company s activities in 2024. ADC On Tour is the ADC s national exhibition touring program. Some of the nation s best contemporary craft and design exhibitions were taken to metropolitan and regional venues across the country in 2024. Three exhibitions travelled to five museums and galleries across Australia attracting an estimated audience of over 76,000 people, up from 36,000 in 2023. These included: SIXTY: The Journal of Australian Ceramics 60th Anniversary 19622022; and MAKE Award: Biennial Prize for Innovation in Australian Craft and Design. ADC continued to raise its digital profile through the development of content across website and social media channels for local and global audiences. Website and social media platforms had an online audience of over 289,000 (2023: 264,000). In publishing a major monograph, Vipoo Srivilasa: Positive Art Work, was copublished with Paperboat Press Editions to accompany the re/JOY exhibition which launched in November 2024 before a national tour to follow from 20252027.
