The Australian Archaeological Association (AAA) supports and promotes archaeology across the country through key initiatives such as the Student Research Grant Scheme and National Archaeology Week. The Student Research Grant Scheme provides funding to emerging researchers undertaking innovative archaeological projects, helping students gain field experience, develop technical skills, and contribute new knowledge to the discipline. National Archaeology Week, coordinated by the AAA, raises public awareness and appreciation of Australia s rich archaeological heritage through nationwide events, talks, and exhibitions that connect communities with the past and showcase the work of archaeologists today.
