2024 marked the 40th anniversary for the Australasian Dance Collective and while preparing for the future, paused to honour the legacy of the company and the remarkable individuals who have shaped it. The company premiered the third iteration of THREE at the Brisbane Powerhouse providing both a commission and presenting platform for leading choreographers and independent artists. ADC joined 4000 Studios for an electrifying onenight only fusion of music and dance at The Princess Theatre. Assembly Vol. 1 was presented by ADC, Brisbane Festival and The Princess Theatre. A highlight of the year was the celebration of the company's 40th anniversary with a gala event acknowledging those who helped found and build the company and the company's significant work and contribution to the dance sector in the first four decades. The First Collective Residencies program continued its powerful momentum as a catalyst for collaboration and as a testament to the company's commitment to artistic development. The company delivered extensive dance development and training opportunities throughout the year including the Youth Ensemble, Mature Program, contemporary dance intensive courses, inschool workshops and professional development for teachers.
