AusDoCC Vision We ROAR for greater Recognition, Opportunities, Access and Resources for people with corpus callosum dysgenesis (CCD). AusDoCC Mission To support, connect and create awareness for individuals with a CCD, their families and the wider community. To collaborate with health and educational professionals, service providers and government to achieve our vision and create greater awareness of CCD. Our history AusDoCC Committee began fromhumble beginnings when a group of mumsfromaround Australia attended an online meeting in April 2012 to forma fledgling organisation.Overthe yearsthe Committee diversity has grown to include adults with CCD, dads, partners, friends and community members. Our aims were clear. We all wanted betterrecognition for everyone with a CCD and theirfamilies. We all wanted the professionalsto knowmore about CCD. We wanted to connect all these isolated groups and have them communicate with and learn from one another. We wanted to make corpus callosum a household word. With social media, a website, professional advisors, conferences, information days, MeetUps, newsletters, research, connecting globally with similar groups and scientists and with sheer passion and determination, we are achieving allthat and more. Ourfoundations were strong and we continue to build on them. Wewant ourorganisation to reachmore people and have the impactthatis needed. As wegrow, we are becoming more professional but we will always be guided by ourhumble beginnings and grass roots philosophy and neverlose sight of ouroriginal reason for being.
