Athiolget Women's and Children's Health Association Inc.

As we have no Australian Staff or volunteers, our small charity has continued to support the local community of Akot village by providing local wages. These staff members maintain the Health Clinic which is providing necessary medications for the prevention of typhoid, malaria, and sexually transmitted diseases etc, and to offer health and sanitation education. Staff members include Nurses, Cleaners and Security. We have more recently helped build a school community which is currently educating approximately 150 students. There has never been a school in this community before. Our funds are also paying the wages of the local teachers of St Benedict's School.
