Association for Philosophy in Schools Inc.

This year, our work equipped more WA teachers with the skills and confidence to facilitate philosophical inquiry in their classrooms, resulting in more students developing critical, creative, and caring thinking skills. Through Level 1 Philosophy in Schools Training, mentoring, and resource support, educators embedded philosophy into their teaching practice. Student participation in initiatives such as the Philosothon grew, giving young people more opportunities to engage in respectful, reasoned dialogue. These outcomes directly advanced our aim of making philosophy accessible and meaningful for all young people in Western Australia.
