Asian Women At Work Inc

We assisted, resourced and supported migrant women especially vulnerable migrant women such as those working in low paid employment in various ways through casework and referrals, connecting them with community networks that helped breakdown social isolation, provided contacts they can tap on and helping them gain tools to help with their personal growth, information and resources so they are able to make decisions that have positive impacts in their loves. We organised group activities that responded to their physical, mental and social needs. Our group activities included conversational English classes, cooking class, gardening class, smart phone classes, dancing and yoga exercises. We invited government and nongovernment agencies to deliver information sessions about settlement issues and other information about migrant's life in Australia.
