Asian Australian Foundation Ltd

In the 2024 reporting period, the Asian Australian Foundation achieved its aims of building bridges across the Asian Australian community by: bringing together donors and resources; advancing social and public welfare through supporting organisations that serve the vulnerable and distressed in our community; and supporting education. The Asian Australian Foundation achieved this mission through fundraising activities, which supported the following: 1. Grant to Worawa Aboriginal College to support the establishment of a music program for the students. A grant was made to provide instruments that are of recording studio standard, and expanding the number of instruments available to students across all aspects of musical production. The purchase of these instruments continues the philosophy of learning by doing and will give students access to high quality instruments to create and perform music. 2. Continued with its scholarship program to Swinburne University students from culturally diverse backgrounds facing hardship. The grants were disbursed to three students in September 2023.
