Asian Aid currently supports a number of local partners in Nepal, India and Bangladesh to facilitate improvements in the quality of primary, secondary and tertiary education for approximately 4,000 children in a number of formal and nonformal learning contexts. This assistance is provided by programs which utilise child sponsorship as well as direct giving as means of fundraising. Asian Aid also supports projects in India, Nepal and Bangladesh which address water, health and sanitation, livelihood support for marginalised and impoverished communities, the promotion of child and gender rights and awareness, holistic support for atrisk young people in identified communities and is exploring further work in women s reproductive health and disease prevention.
