Art Incubator LTD

Art Incubator supports emerging Australian artists in several ways. Firstly, artists are given a financial grant. They are expected to produce a body of work and the charity arranges a solo exhibition for grant recipients in an established gallery. This is a major step in the progression from being an emerging artist to becoming an established one. Many grant recipients go on to achieve contractual representation by the gallery. Mentoring from established artists is also made available to grant recipients as is mentoring in business skills in order to assist them to advance their careers professionally. In addition to direct assistance of emerging Australian artists, Art Incubator also engages with local communities to promote a better understanding of the role of artists in the development of society. This is achieved by arranging visits to artists studios, promoting engagement with artists and workshop opportunities to host artist talks. The Managing Director of Art Incubator is a member of the Arts and Culture Community Consultative Committee for Mosman Council. Art Incubator is recognised as a significant philanthropic artist support program and is currently in discussion with a regional gallery to create an exhibition which demonstrates to the community the value and importance of artist support.
