Armidale Community Radio Incorporated

We are a community radio station and have about 24 local presenters. Two of our presenters have intellectual disabilities and greatly value doing their programs, with help from a panel operator. Our station is currently working with the local Yazidis refugee community to provide acknowledgment of their culture. In addition inhouse media training is also being rolled out to a group Yazidis community via a 2ARMfm partnership project with the STARTT organisation. This upgrade will assist the provision of this project. We play a wide range of music to cater for a broad demographic and also have given some of our presenters training in Emergency Response skills (severe storms, floods, bushfires, traffic accidents etc.). We do Outside Broadcasts throughout the year for community events and do regular community announcements. Both free of charge. We greatly appreciate our volunteers here at 2ARMFM and believe that we provide a valuable community service.
