Apple and Pear Australia Ltd

APAL's charitable activities relate to the identification, establishment, management and reporting of R&D projects, extension projects, industry development and upskilling projects, industry capacity building projects and projects related to the development of industry leadership. In addition, APAL is involved in positive health messages through its promotion of locally grown apples and pears to the Australian community as healthy snacks and good alternatives to other snackfoods and imported fruits. The beneficiaries of these activities are: (1) Australian apple and pear growers not just growers who are members of APAL (2) the apple and pear supply chain packers, marketers, retailers and exporters (3) the wider community though health promotions, availability and consumption of high quality fruit (4) regional communities via employment, purchase of goods and services and general investment by SMEs in the apple and pear industry (5) Australia's economy through the creation of wealth in Australia and on export markets.
