About Alyangula Daycare Incorporated

Childcare Service to the community . Seagrass Early Learning and OSHC is a place where all are valued for their individuality and nurtured to develop to their full potential . With it's fun, friendly atmosphere, the centre is a place children look forward to attending and where families feel welcome and supported. We are proud to be situated in the beautiful and unique Northern Territory , remote Groote Eylandt community. We pay our respect to the Anindilyakwa People, past, present and emerging leaders , for sharing their land with us. Our centre philosophy underpins everything we do as early childhood professionals in relation to our children , the educational program , our educators ad community. 1. Our commitment to Children and the Education Program We are dedicated to upholding the rights of all children and recognise the importance of respecting and promoting these rights . We see children as capable and resourceful learners who should be empowered to take charge of their own learning journeys. Our playbased learning program is thoughtfully designed based on the principles outlined in the approved learning Frameworks , Belonging , Being and Becoming ELC, My Time, Our Place for our OSHC aged children. We strive to foster a love for learning through engaging experiences that promote confidence, creativity, and critical thinking. Our curriculum incorporates handson activities that encourage exploration and discovery , allowing children to learn at their own pace while developing essential skills such as problemsolving , communication , and collaboration . We also recognise the importance of outdoor play, integrating nature based learning experiences that connect children to their surroundings and instill a sense of wonder and respect for the environment. We are committed to ensuring each child's health and safety through evidence based practices , a thorough understanding of child protection and strict adherence to the service policies and procedures. Management , educators , and staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities regarding child safety , including the need to identify and respond to every child at risk of abuse or neglect . 2. Our Partnerships with Families We recognise that families are children's first most important teachers. We aim to partner closely with families to provide their children with the best care and education .Understanding that many families may come from afar and face challenges adjusting to remote living , we are committed too supporting them in every way possible . Working together to create a strong community that values diversity , inclusivity , and mutual respect. Families are given opportunities to give input on their preferred training/pd, children's goals and are invited to get involved in the service events.
