About Aid Watch Inc
AidWatch has continued to monitor and advocate against the poor environmental practices of Lynas Rare Earth Ltd. while supporting locals with research information and media liaison efforts. Over the course of 2024, AidWatch continued to update its comprehensive Transition Minerals Tracker . This database covers Australianowned mining companies who have domestic or overseasbased projects at exploration through to exploitation stage and are extracting minerals deemed important for the green energy transition. A core aim of the tracker is to identify those projects which are known to be causing social and environmental impacts, and note where we are in direct contact with impacted communities. AidWatch has launched a Militarisation Webinar Series, an educational and solidarityfocused initiative that brings together grassroots voices, researchers and international allies to raise awareness about the accelerating convergence of militarisation and extractivism.
