We supported vulnerable children (particularly those in government care / foster care and adoptive families), and their carers, families and guardians, by: providing support, training and resources to carers, families and guardians of these children, and the children in their care, with particular emphasis on trauma informed care, practices and parenting; recruiting potential carers to provide homes for children through foster care or adoption, and referring them to agencies providing information to professionals and the community on supporting these children and trauma support; encouraging and educating people to provide all children in need with access to a safe, nurturing and stable family environment to grow up in; providing practical supports such as backpacks with essentials for children entering foster care.
