Achilles connects club volunteers with members with varied abilities, to support participation in walking and running activities. Many of our members are visually impaired; sighted volunteer guides team up with our members at fortnightly club training, parkrun, and running/walking events. Achilles provides training for volunteers, covers the costs of registration to run/walk events, and facilitates fortnightly club training. Our vision is to create an Australia where people with disabilities can enjoy the social, recreational and health benefits of an active lifestyle. We facilitate training and participation in running and walking events in a supportive environment where people with disabilities can achieve life changing goals.
