About Whakataki Marae Charitable Trust

The Trust supports the maintenance and development of marae and communal facilities, promotes te reo Māori, tikanga, kawa, traditional practices, place names and local Māori history, and provides opportunities for learning and community participation.

The Trust also seeks to provide facilities for hui, education, health, social services and community activities, while supporting initiatives that strengthen whānau wellbeing, community development and connection to the history, culture and heritage of Whakataki.
