Missions to Seafarers Society (Port of Tauranga) Incorporated

• Promoting and providing for the religious needs of seafarers resident in and visiting ports within the Diocese of Waiapu (currently the ports of Tauranga, Gisborne and Napier) irrespective of their nationality or religious belief including conducting Christian religious services on board ships, providing chaplaincy services and Christian literature and similar means of meeting the spiritual needs of seafarers;

•Benefitting the community by providing for the physical, recreational, psychological, and spiritual needs of seafarers regardless of their beliefs, ethnic origin, gender or sexuality resident in and visiting ports in the Diocese of Waiapu recognising the crucial role shipping plays in the import and export of goods that are necessary for daily life in the community.
