About Miriam Centre Child Abuse Treatment And Research Trust

Our founding & current kaupapa (1st May 1988) is to support individuals , tamariki, rangatahi adults, whanau & communities, Maori & non Maori, to heal & to thrive. To identify and intervene in issues keeping them 'stuck' in what may be part of an intergenerational cycle of abuse violence trauma for children young people adults, their family whanau and community. We work to assist individuals, family/whanau and communities to identify face and address the immediate problems of care and protection and safety as well as any issues or patterns underlying and sustaining the problem of abuse, violence and neglect and to heal and to develop positive new compassionate nurturing non-violent direction.
