About Auckland Parents of Deaf Children Incorporated
The Society promotes and facilitates informed, supportive and cohesive relationships, between families and whanau with a deaf child, within the Auckland region. It believes that when families and whanau are well supported and connected, as part of a peer network, deaf children can realise their full potential as active participants, and valued members within their respective communities.
The society champions the right for deaf children to realise their full potential, by developing a positive, healthy and secure self identity. It does this by providing, and being involved in activities which promote the social, educational and recreational needs of deaf children living in Auckland.
