Operates a 24/7 crisis line for victims of sexual violence in York Region 40 volunteers give approx. 6000 hours to the line -Provides individual counselling groups workshops seminars -Conducts public education in schools community organizations other social service agencies -Partners with York Region Police and Victim Services to provide support and care to Human Trafficking victims -Partnering with the Region of York to provide first/last month rent and ongoing rental assistance with housing for our trafficked women -Provide targeted outreach to trafficked women in rural and remote communities within York Region provide transportation for travelling to and from counselling appointments provide practical assistance including hygiene products clothing gift and grocery cards -Recruit and train volunteers who will outreach to trafficked women in rural and remote communities and respond to crisis calls on WSN's anti-human trafficking/24-hour crisis line -Provide youth counselling to this vulnerable sector in York Region provide outreach practical assistance to youth workshops Expanded services in York Region to include outreach and support to clients due to Pandemic and provide additional supplies for ongoing services additional demand PPE - Expanded services provided to youth in York Region with outreach counselling practical assistance - Expanded services to clients for mental health well being providing counselling services virtual groups practical assistance
