Weengushk International Film Festival

Weengushk International Film Festival is an indigenous-based organization. We prioritizes people whose voices historically been marginalized and whose stories are under told. It sets out to eradicate injustices in Canadian society while simultaneously transforming the film industry to one of inclusion. We remain committed to our philosophy to present the highest quality films that emphasize Indigenous voices with human rights social/political issues and the environment while providing entertainment and as as escape through film for everyone. In 2024 the theme for our festival is Legacy Makers: the chiefs who paved the path forward. We are going to be focusing on showcasing the stories and honor many chiefs from different reserves
