Transition House Coalition of Northumberland

Transition House responds directly to homelessness in Northumberland County by providing emergency housing with the goal of moving people to safe accessible affordable housing. Transition House provides transitional housing to singles at the shelter site and provided housing to families through the motel program. An off-site emergency hub was opened through the winter/spring of 2024 to provide shelter from the cold and warm meals to the homeless. In November/December 2024 Transition House opened a 24-hour emergency hub to provide the homeless with safe shelter from the cold of winter and heat of summer. Along with shelter clients have use of laundry facilities showers and receive meals.
