The Yukon Lung Association /Yukon Tyberculosis & Health

We donate/purchase equipment and materials and provide information necessary to prevent lung disease and to help people with breathing and respiratory challenges. We donate to hospitals nursing stations and other organizations. The equipment material and donations are requested by doctors head nurses and others. The distribution of funds is voted on by Board members at Board meetings. We continued work on developing a research program related to radon and lung disease. This work included contributing to a research paper that was published. We also conducted limited short-term and long-term radon testing in homes in the Yukon. A radon test kit loan program was also piloted in one library. We contributed again to an annual Yukon-wide radon awareness campaign. This year our contribution included providing radon test kits that were distributed throughout the Yukon mainly to home-owners.
