Free memberships for new members residents of alberta. Promote high standards of yoga instruction through yoga immersion teacher certification re-certification & upgrading. Provide continuous instruction for students & teachers by organizing workshops & retreats with provincial national & international teachers. Community activities through an outrech program in order to extend the yoga experience to disadvantaged albertans. Network with related non-profit organizations. Fund a current library of books videos cds and journals on yoga and related topics valued at over $8 000.00 informative website: teachers classes & locations yoga workshops retreats and events related links etc. Www.yoga.ca. Produce a professional provincial newsletter three times a year. Provide quality yoga props videos books etc. For sale at discount prices (i.e. Less than retail). Liaise between certified teachers and fitness centres health clubs community legues schools (all levels) etc. Present a comprehensive yoga program complementary to general health programs to develop/maintain a sense of well being *free classes for all members showcasing yoga teachers throughout alberta - 12 new presenters. Several professional development webinars for yoga teachers. Invitation for all members to participate in organization and sumission of articles for 2026 50th anniversay. Agm free workshop with george mcfaul for all members. Project grants expanding current outreach programs for under-served albertans both in-person and online. Launched new website and re-branded yaa image and created a new logo. Revamping of certification program with teacher training and immersion programs attracting new members. Video library of classes are available to yaa members.
