The Vancouver Island Kidney Patients' Association

1. Providing equipment for patients which is not provided by Island Health (i.e. dialysis chairs machines monitors) 2. Providing items for patients to borrow for home use (i.e. portable blood pressure monitors) 3. Providing patient comfort items while undergoing dialysis (i.e. TVs water dispensers microwaves blankets) 4. Providing for low income patients (i.e. holiday grocery gift cards emergency funds) 5. Awarding bursaries to assist with patient and patient family education 6. Providing information to patients and directing them to appropriate resources 7. Providing accommodation at low or no cost to patients required to travel for treatments
