During the year the Students' Association of Mount Royal University engaged 96 volunteers who together contributed 1 699 volunteer hours and facilitated the following charitable programs: Food security programs: food bank access free breakfast program free food & hygiene cupboard and care packages Good Food Box program; Financial security programs: emergency loans emergency bursary funds Experiential Learning Fund opportunities volunteer tax clinic seasonal supports; Person-focused programs: Peer-to-peer based mental health support referrals and outreach stress relief through crafts program student advocacy support services relationship/identity/sex programming raising awareness promoting respect and personal safety through education and access to resources in a safe and inclusive space for all gender and sexual orientations; Cultural & Indigenous inclusion and education programs: Indigenous persons support programming (elder counseling awareness skills development) support for international and diverse individuals (advocacy awareness connection opportunities) Black history awareness and programming.
