The Saskatoon Gallery and Conservatory Corporation

The saskatoon gallery and conservatory corporation (sgcc) transferred its permanent art collection to the art gallery of saskatchewan inc. (ags) on april 30 2024 thus ceasing operations. Sgcc applied for voluntary revocation of charitable status on december 17 2024. Sgcc received notice of intention to revoke from the cra on janurary 16 2025 with a proposed revocation date of february 15 2025. This charity owns the permanent art collection and operated as a public art museum for the collection preservation exhibition and interpretation of works of art and the development of public understanding and appreciation of art. The gallery also organized and presented a large variety and quantity of public and professional programs.
