The nova scotian institute of science was founded in 1862. Science lectures are organized and open to public; publishes a scientific journal 'proceedings of the nova scotian institute of science (pnsis) and it is distributed to members and libraries and exchanged with international journals nsis host monthly scientific lectures support regional science fairs host undergraduate and graduate scientific writing competitions and focus on scientific communication in nova scotia since covid host scientific lectures were conducted via zoom this past year there was an increase of lectures hold at universities and also accessed via zoom. Lectures are recorded and made available via youtube channel.
