The Friends of the Canmore Library Society

Friends of the canmore library society exists to support our local library. Funds raised through book sales bottle returns & donations are used to purchase supplementary items for the canmore public library. In 2023/24 the friends held 3 book sales & hosted 3 speakers. In 2023/24 friends of canmore library grant of $7 225 was directed to collection development & program enhancement supporting the adopt-a-magazine program; purchasing print and audio-visual materials for adults & children's collections; and supporting indigenous initiatives including two author visits. In addition the friends funded 30 new books for the collection to mark our 30th anniversary & contributed #11 000 to the library endoenment fund held by banff canmore foundation.
