The Friends of Maltby Lake Watershed Society

Facilitating public education about features/qualities of maltby lake watershed and how to contribute to thee conservation of its ecological health. Collaborating with organizations with similar objectives. For example; participation in community watershed tours which provide education and information on research and on-going environmental concerns. Water quality testing and monitoring as part of a watershed-wide volunteer driven community program. Organizing volunteers to assist with the removal of invasive species. Organizing volunteers to lead informational walks throughout the property. Organizing volunteers to present information at community events. Continued fundraising in order to manage on-going costs incurred as co-owners of maltby lake lands.
