The Canadian Tulip Legacy / La Société Du Patrimoine Tulip Canadienne

The canadian tulip festiv preserves celebrates and commemorates canad's tulip legacy which has its origins in the gift of tulips from the netherlands for canada's lead role in liberating the dutch people and providing safe haven in ottawa during the second world war. The organization stages and sponsors tulip festival activities each may in partnership with the embassy of the kingdom of the netherlands the national capital commission and the city of ottawa. Festival activities include floral displays entertainment and commemorations in commissioners parkand is a signature tourist attraction. The organization also sponsors and carries out projects throughout the year honoring canada's veterans and the tulip as a symbol of international friendship.
